01. What is Career Knight ?
Career Knight is basically a recruitment interface.
Organisations list jobs on CK
Once you register as a Freelancer you can access all the Jobs Opportunities listed on Career Knight and begin recruiting for these jobs by uploading resumes and contact details of people from your network of friends and contacts to earn incredible cash rewards.

02. How do I benefit by becoming a Freelancer ?
As a Freelancer you gain access to all the Job Opportunities listed on Career Knight.
Only registered Freelancers can refer resumes / contacts for the Jobs posted on CK and earn cash rewards.
As a registered freelancer, you could apply for a Job opportunity listed on Career Knight and get rewarded for referring yourself and getting the job !!!

03. Can I become your Freelancer ?
Definitely!!!
The sole criterion is the ability to refer potential candidates for suitable job positions, which we believe every one reading this has and of course the fact that you need to be at least 18 years of age.
We want you to become our freelancer. And as we said, while you help our clients and your contacts by joining us, you also derive considerable earnings from it without putting in much extra effort.

04. What exactly do I need to do as a freelancer ?
Just keep yourself updated with the job opening published on our site regularly, and refer candidates whose competencies could match the demands of the position. The requirements, related specifications and the essential candidate progress details will be updated into your login account automatically.

05. What will I be paid ?
We are among the best paymasters in the industry for freelancers. The average earning for you on making one successful reference in IT industry is about Rs. 20,000/- in ITES it is Rs. 7,000/- and in BFSI the amount could be around Rs.15,000/-. Simply put, if you have submitted the resume of a candidate, and if he/she accepts the offer from our clients, you will be paid 30% of the fixed monthly salary of the respective candidate. In case of contributing the contact details of the candidate, you will be paid 20% of the fixed monthly salary of the respective candidate.

06. Are there any conditions for the payment ?
We are committed to adding value to our Clients spend on Human Resources by bringing skill-full and long-standing employees to their workforce. We do not charge our clients in the event that the candidate-client relationship cannot sustain at least till 3 months. In line with the same policy, you will be paid the commission only when the candidate you have referred works with the client at least for 90 working days.

07. How will I get paid / What is the mode of payment ?
You will be paid in the form of a cheque drawn in your name which will be sent to you by courier to the mailing address provided by you at the time of registration.

08. How do I get started ?
In another couple of minutes from now, you could be a part of our team of freelancers. Register yourself online by filling in a simple form seeking just the basic information and you can start freelancing on Career Knight.

09. How do I work with you ?
As a freelancer on Career Knight, almost all of your work will happen using a software interface which you can access on your CK account. We have developed the interface to be simple and self-explanatory through which you can do all the necessary tasks including viewing a regularly-updated listing of requirements, uploading resumes / contacts against each requirements, tracking the status of the candidates you have referred, billing information / status and communicating with CK team through emails. We are more than willing to provide support to you at any given point in the process by answering your queries and assisting you in building networks and recruiting successfully.

10. How will I know if my candidate is offered ?
Transparency is the key to every relationship. To ensure transparency at all times, every status detail like the result, client feedback and comments will be made available in your account after each important stage of the selection process of the candidate. To avoid any kind of inconsistency, The software is built so as to share the same information with you in realtime through your CK account. The end result in the form of offered/not offered status message, and your commission details are also updated accordingly.

11. Do I have references ?
We are sure you have them. Don't we meet a variety of professionals each day, working in different sectors and various levels of the corporate hierarchy as friends, neighbours, relatives, colleagues or just acquaintances ? With the large and varied Job Opportunities on Career Knight we are sure you will have suitable references for at least some of them.

12. What is a Fixed Payout ?
There are a few requirements on Career Knight which have a fixed payout. A fixed payout simply means that for that particular requirement the payout or reward is a fixed amount regardless of the salary being offered to the candidate being recruited.

13. Can I simply upload resumes and contacts without talking to them or do I have to talk to them before Uploading ?
Yes, you could.
And, a specialist from Career Knight will talk to the candidate and take the process ahead.
However, to increase your chances of a successful recruitment on CK we recommend that you talk to your candidates to check if they are suitable and are interested in the Job. This will also help you build a positive relationship with the candidate and help grow your network.

14. Am I required to do the first level screening like checking if the resume / contact is relevant for the requirement , talk to the candidates, check their interest in this particular position, etc., or will Career Knight do this for me ?
No. You can simply upload the resume with out checking on any of the above. A specialist from Career Knight will talk to the candidate and take the process ahead as soon as you upload the candidate's details.
However, doing the first level of screening and talking to the candidate will ensure that you upload more relevant resumes and increases your chances of a successful recruitment on CK immensely !!!

15. What is the difference between Resume reward and Contact reward ?
For every requirement featured on Career Knight, you have the option of either:
1. Uploading the resume of the candidate that you think is relevant OR
2. Uploading just the contact details along with some basic information of the candidate that you think is relevant.
In line with the above process Career Knight offers two types of rewards:
1. Resume Rewards: If you have uploaded the resume of a candidate, and if he/she accepts the offer from our clients, you will be paid 30% of the fixed monthly salary of the respective candidate as the Resume Reward.
2. Contact Rewards : If you have uploaded the contact details of a candidate, and if he / she accepts the offer from our clients, you will be paid 20% of the fixed monthly salary of the respective candidate as the Contact Reward.

16. What is a successful hire / recruit ?
A Candidate referred by you for a Job Opportunity on Career Knight is termed as a Successful Hire after he / she :
- Completes the selection process pertaining to that specific Job opportunity and
- is selected for the Job and offerred the same and
-accepts the offer from our clients and
-most importantly joins the Company and completes three months on the Job.

17. How do I follow-up / track the rewards due to me ?
Your Career Knight account will give you all details pertaining to the Resumes and Contacts uploaded by you, the potential rewards you could earn through them and the rewards already earned and due to you.

18. What is the life of a resume or contact uploaded by me on Career Knight ?
The life of a resume or contact uploaded by you on Career Knight is 90 days from the date it was uploaded. On completion of 90 days the resume expires and will need to be uploaded again.
However, the resume or contact is classified as "alive till the completion of process" in the following cases :
1. If the resume or contact is being processed for a Job Opportunity on Career Knight, it is classified as alive till the completion of the process.
2. If the resume or contact is converted into a successful hire and the rewards are due to the Freelancer.

19. How do I upload resumes / contacts ?
Each Job opportunity listed on Career Knight has two links:
1. Upload Resume
2. Upload Contact
Just click on them and fill out a simple upload form to upload resumes / contacts.

20. How and where do I check the status of resumes / contacts uploaded by me ?
Its very simple. On your Career Knight account go to the " View / Edit uploaded Resumes " or "View / Edit Uploaded Contacts" to view the resumes and contacts that have been uploaded by you. You can also view the status or comments for the resumes and contacts that have been uploaded by you.

21. How and where can I get resumes / contacts to upload on Career Knight ?
There are quite a few places from where you could get resumes and contacts if you simply look for them.
Honestly, it is that simple. Here are a few tips about places where you can find suitable candidates:
-In your network for friends, relatives and neighbours
-Orkut / Linked in and other network buddies
-Yahoo groups, MSN groups, chat rooms and discussion forums
-Acquaintances that you make at social gatherings and parties
-At your work place, club and gym
-On the internet at various sites that offer free resume databases
-In forwards that you recieve (just look at the number of people you could connect to by simply using the Email IDs in the "CC" row of the forward !!! )

22. What critieria or process to follow to short-list resumes and contacts to upload ? / How do I short-list resumes ?
Every Job opportunity listed on Career Knight has a link termed "Job Description ", this gives you a quick and thorough understanding of the Job and the skills required for the Job. It also gives you a good understanding of what to look for in a resume to shortlist.

23. I am currently working in a fulltime job, can I do both freelance on Career Knight and continue with my current job at the same time ?
Of Course you can !!! That's what freelancing is all about. You can definitely continue working with your full-time and freelance as a recruiter on Career Knight, both at the same time.
You will just need to invest about a few hours a week on Career Knight to earn those incredible cash rewards !!!

24. Will Career Knight give me any resume database to work with or do I have to work with my own database ?
No, Career Knight does not offer any resume database to work with. We recommend that you work with your own database, networks and circle of contacts to source the right candidates for the Job Opportunities listed on Career Knight rather than using databanks of resume portals. Remember that the companies that you are recruiting for also have access to these resume portals. However, the database from the Portals can help you network to connect to right candidate.

25. Will the candidates referred by me know that I have referred them ?
No!!! Your identity as a freelancer on Career Knight is kept confidential underl all circumstances, always. Neither, the client / company you are referring candidates to nor the candidates referred by you will ever know your identity.

26. Do I have to pay anything to join as a freelancer on Career Knight ?
NO !!! Absolutely not. You do not have to pay anything to register as a freelancer or work on Career Knight, ever !!! In fact, this is a site which offers you a potential opportunity to earn money. For every resume you upload that is successfully recruited, you earn 30% of the recruited candidate's monthly salary. And in the event that you do not have a resume but have the contact details of the candidate and the candidate is successfully hired, then you earn 20% of the recruited candidate's monthly salary.

27. Is there a legal agreement that I have to sign to use Career Knight ?
Yes, you are required to agree to a set of terms as a part of the registration process when you register as a freelance recruiter on Career Knight. This also acts as a legal agreement between you can Career Knight and defines the terms of usage for the site.

28. Am I required to check with the candidates for their interest before uploading the resume / contact ?
Although, this is not mandatory, it definetely is recommended as it will ensure that the resumes / contacts being uploaded are both intrested and relevant, thereby increasing the chances of a successful hire.
Eitherways, Career Knight's inhouse team of specialists will be calling the candidates to screen for interest and relevancy.

29. How do I keep track of whether the candidates referred by me have been contacted / processed by Career Knight ?
Once you upload a resume / contact of a candidate for a Job Opportunity listed on Career Knight, all details pertaining to the progress of the Candidate through various stages of selection process like client feedback, comments and interview results will be made available in your account against each resume / contact in the "View/Edit Uploaded Resumes" and in the "View / Edit Uploaded Contacts" sections respectively. To avoid any kind of inconsistency, we built our software so as to share the same information with the candidate through your Career Knight account. You will know the end result in the form of offered / not offered status message, and your commission details are updated accordingly to your Career Knight account.

30. Is there a target that i am required to achieve each month ?
No, there is no target set fo you on Career Knight. You are the Entrepreneur - " Your Own Boss " on Career Knight. The only target that you need to achieve are the ones that you set for yourself. You are the one who decides how much you wish to earn here.

31. I have no prior experience in recruitment, can I register as a freelance on Career Knight ?
YES !!! You do not need prior experience in recruitment to register as a freelance recruiter on Career Knight. All you require is be social, have friends, know people and network in your society and circles.

32. Am I required to co-ordinate with interview scheduling after i upload the resume / contact ?
No, there is a team of recruitment specialists at Career Knight who manage the interview process.

33. When I refer a candidate, am I required to upload both his / her resume and contact details ?
No, you just need to upload either the candidate's resume or contact details. Both are not required.

34. Do I have to know the candidate to refer him / her ?
Its not mandatory that the candidate that you know every candidate referred by you. You can upload any resume / Contact as long as you are convinced that the candidate matches the Job Specifications and Description Career Knight's inhouse team of specialists will call and talk to every candidates to screen for interest and relevancy.

35. How do I know if a resume/contact that I want to upload is already uploaded on Career Knight ?
Career Knight has various levels of check to minimize duplication.
1. When you upload a resume our software checks if it is there in our databank and gives you the 'Resume ID number' if it is not a duplicate. If its a duplicate, our software would send a message to you stating that the resume that you have uploaded is a duplicate.
2. The duplidcate check also happens at our clients end, wherein the status would be changed accordingly in your Career Knight account.

36. Can I upload the same resume / contact for more than one requirement on Career Knight ?
Yes you can!!! The resume / contact details of the candidate uploaded by you can easily be reassigned to a different Job posting / Requirement in the "View / Edit uploaded Resumes " and in the " View / Edit Uploaded Contacts " sections by simply changing the Requirement ID. However, this is possible only when the candidate is not being currently processed for any requirement OR when the Job Posting / Requirement goes ON HOLD or is CLOSED.

37. I have a few questions / need clarifications with regards to a requirement.
Every Requirement / Job Posting on Career Knight has a "requirement Owner" assigned specially for it. You can mail all your queries and communicate with the "requirement owner" by simply clicking on the link.

38. How do I get the confirmation that the resume / contact I have uploaded is being shortlisted or not ?
Once you upload a resume / contact of a candidate for a Job Opportunity listed on Career Knight, all details pertaining to the progress of the candidate through various stages of selection process like client feedback, comments and interview results will be made available in your account against each resume / contact in the " View / Edit Uploaded Resumes " and in the " View / Edit Uploaded Contacts " sections respectively. To avoid any kind of inconsistency, we built our software so as to share the same information with the candidate through your Career Knight account. You will know the end result in the form of offered / not offered status message, and your commission details updated accordingly to your Career Knight account.

39. Is there a Query / message board on Career Knight, for me to communicate easily ?
